Is Bret Michaels dead? One of my friends, an avid fan of Poison, asked me this evening.Dunno, I said. Well yes, a decade ago I was a big fan of Bret’s band, and tens other heavy metal bands, but now I’d prefer Kings of Convenience 
. Perhaps my friends is just one out of million rock fans who wonder: what happened to Bret Michaels?
Bret Michaels was rushed to a hospital last Thursday due to brain hemorrhage which made his brain bleeding. Early of this month, the singer and reality show star also admitted to hospital after experiencing pain in his abdominal caused by appendicitis. But Bret Michaels is not dead. His close friends stated he was awake and in good spirits within 48 hours of his admission to the hospital.
Aside of his fame in 80-90s as the lead singer of Poison, Bret Michaels was recently appointed as the contestants on Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice”. He is competing with other famous celebrities like Sharon Osbourne, Cyndi Laupe and Holly Robinson Peete. He still showed up in the last session of the show as the appearance tapped week before he’s hospitalized.
Michaels has sold over 25 million records worldwide and has set his musical and creative sights far beyond Poison. He is planning to release his solo album Custom Built on June 8th, 2010.
However, it was reported Michaels would have to cancel several upcoming tours part of his Roses and Thorns tour. Michaels is hopeful to make his appearance at the Wichita River Music Festival which would be his first performance post surgery. The remainder of the tour is scheduled to resume on May 12th in Verona New York.
I haven’t foudn any online info whether or not the doctors will be operating on Michaels for his brain hemorrhage, but you can chekck the updates on his official website. Wishing Bret will recover soon that my friend will not ask me this dumb question again; Is Bret Michaels dead?
